Manufacturers’ Commitments

Environmentally conscious products have a lot of opportunity. Multiple manufacturers have even dedicated themselves to reducing their environmental footprint.

L’Oreal
By 2020, we will reduce our environmental footprint by 60% whilst bringing beauty to one billion new consumers.

As we aim to reach one billion new consumers, we are also upping our environmental commitment. By 2020 we will reduce our CO2 emissions in absolute terms by 60%, as well as our water consumption per finished product unit, and waste per finished product unit by 60 % from a 2005 baseline. We will mobilize our teams every day to improve the environmental impact of our plants and distribution centers. We also commit to sending zero waste to landfill, and to reduce the CO2 emissions of our transportation by 20 % per finished product unit from a 2011 baseline.

Davines
THE PIONEERING PROGRAMS AIM TO HELP SPREAD ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS WITHIN THE WORLD OF HAIR SALONS.

With this objective Davines promotes the campaign for Zero Environmental Impact Salons as an integral part of our commitment towards sustainability.

The campaign offers assistance to stylists who wish to offset the carbon emissions deriving from their daily work activities, transforming their salon into a zero environmental impact establishment one step at a time.

Following an initial experimental phase carried out in Italy, the project was exported abroad; today it is active in Norway, Spain and Portugal where Davines assisted hairdressers take environmentally aware actions through initiatives that are sustainable and concrete in addition to sending a message to their clients.

Wella
At Wella we believe in the beauty of everyday commitment – the little things that, over time, can have a big impact – both in the salon and outside. For this reason, we launched, Wella’s sustainability program to partner with those who inspire us every day – all of you – and, together, challenge the way we think about our impact on the planet.
